My.Fiu.Edu
This will be your main portal. It will give you access to the majority of the information you will need while at FIU. This portal gives you access to viewing grades, selecting classes, accepting and declining Financial aid awards and so much more.
Academic Advisement
This section consists of 3 tabs, the most often used will be the first tab:
1. My eAdviser student dashboard: This will take you to a new webpage where you can send messages to your adviser, view notes your adviser has posted or request appointments.
2. Panther Degree Audit: Here you can view all the classes you have taken, all classes in progress and all the classes you still need to take based on degree requirements. This will be helpful for planning classes.
3. Panther Degree Audit Summary: This section is a quick snapshot of your overall requirements. For example, it will tell if all your University Core Curriculum (UCC) classes are completed in a quick view.

Holds
Holds are irritating and often are meaningless and will require nothing for you to do, but wait or meet with your adviser. If you click on "More Details" it will provide more information. Remember often during each semester it is necessary to meet with your adviser. If you don't this can cause a hold on your account.
Academics
This section consists of many different areas. Often you will use this section when you are ready to enroll in your next semesters classes, view scholarships, or view your weekly schedule. The tabs in this section consist of the following:
1. Search: This will help you search for classes
2. Plan: Helps you plan your courses based on requirements
3. Enroll: Opens up during academic enrollment. Will allow you to choose your classes and view the dates, times and professors teaching that class (Helpful hint as veterans we get priority enrollment which is early academic enrollment. You are the first to pick classes which is good, because classes are offered on a first come first serve basis. When choosing classes often students will use the site "RateMyProfessor" to search and view reviews on their potential professors).
4. My Academics: This section allows you to a few helpful things
a. Academic Requirements View: Panther Degree Audit; This is the same link as the one under the Academics tab
b. What-If Report: Create a what-if scenario: This is helpful if you want to change your major. It will create a report on which classes will transfer to a different major
c. Transfer Credit: View my transfer credit report; This link will show the classes which have been transferred into FIU. This is very important in your initial transfer or start at FIU. It will ensure all the work you have completed.
DON'T REDO CLASSES YOU HAVE ALREADY TAKEN!
d. Course History: View my course history; This will show only the courses you have taken here at FIU. This is helpful if needed to see specific classes as opposed to viewing in the more lengthy Panther Degree Audit
e. TranscriptView: My unofficial transcript; View an unofficial trasncript
f. Request official transcript: This costs $10 and is official. Many institutions require an official transcript when transferring. If you transfer to another university do not open the sealed transcripts. An official transcript is only official as long as it remains sealed.
g. Graduation: Apply for graduation; When you get to this step CONGRATULATIONS!
5. MyCourseScheduler: Helps plan your class schedule into the future. Though this can be also done with an adviser
6. My Major Match: This is a test to view which major is right for you. Give it a try!
7. Scholarship Application: Directs you to FIU's Scholarship page. Remember scholarships are available to all. Take a look many offer small amounts, but can be additional funds to help pay for school related expenses.
8. Repeat Charge Appeal: If you fail a class this section will help you repeal the charge associated with it. Hopefully, you won't need this.
9. Repeat Eligible Courses: If you fail a class this section will help you get back into a failed class.
10. Excess Credit Hrs Counter: At FIU there is a significant push to have students finish within 4 years. Excess credit surcharge will charge you higher tuition if you have too many credits. If you have 100% of your GI bill this shouldn't affect you. However, remember there is a cap on your yearly tuition amount paid by the VA.
Below that is a dropdown box which will show a variety of additional selections. Most are repetitive to what was already discussed however, one important option is the "Exam Schedule" . This, when it is available, will show your final exam schedule.

My E adviser
As explained under the section Academic advisement, this is a link to your Eadviser dashboard. You can contact your adviser or schedule a meeting with your adviser.
Admissions
When you first apply to FIU this section will be visited frequently. This is where you can view the status of any active applications you may have.
Additionally, the virtual orientation is a good option for those students with limited time and are coming from out of state. It is somewhat comprehensive and helpful, but takes place of a physical tour of FIU, which is a requirement before beginning.

Electronic Forms
This section will be necessary to use at least once a semester to enroll your classes with the VA. Good news, it is much easier than before! This form will be pre-filled out based on enrollment. Be sure it is accurate before you sign and submit.
